Aspendos Ancient Theatre
Aspendos Ancient Theatre is an important example of an ancient theater. Built in the 2nd century AD as part of the Roman Empire, the theatre has a seating capacity of approximately 12,000 people, making it quite large by the standards of its time. It features a typical Roman theater design, where plays, gladiator fights, concerts, and other events were held. The stage building of the theatre includes an impressive decorative façade with grand statues and reliefs.
